Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 11 September 2026
Last Updated: 11 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Jitronex Technologies Limited (“Jitronex”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles personal data and related information when you use the Jitronex LPG Smart Monitoring application, compatible devices, dashboards and associated services.
1. Information We Process
Depending on the features you use, we may process account information such as name, email address and mobile number; account role and verification status; device identifiers and provisioning information; LPG telemetry and configuration; cylinder and safety-event information; alert-delivery records; application/device installation information and push-notification tokens; payment references and transaction status; order and vendor information where marketplace functions are used; IP address, browser/device information, audit logs and other security information needed to operate and protect the Service.
2. Why We Use Information
We use information to create and authenticate accounts; associate and provision devices; display LPG status; calculate usage history and run-out forecasts; deliver safety, low-gas, offline, temperature, cylinder-expiry and other enabled alerts; process and verify purchases and orders; administer User, Vendor and Admin functionality where applicable; provide support; detect abuse and fraud; maintain audit trails; secure the Service; diagnose faults; and comply with applicable legal obligations.
3. Payments
Payment transactions may be processed by Paystack or another configured payment provider. The application may retain payment references, amounts, transaction identifiers and payment status needed to reconcile purchases and orders. Full payment-card details should be handled by the payment processor and are not intended to be stored by this application.
4. Notifications and Service Providers
To deliver services, relevant information may be transmitted to contracted or configured service providers. For example, SMS delivery may require a destination mobile number and message content; email delivery requires a destination email address and message content; push notifications may require a device/application token and notification content; hosting and security providers may process technical logs; and payment processors receive information required to process transactions. Service providers should receive only information reasonably necessary for the relevant function and remain subject to applicable contractual and legal obligations.
5. Device and LPG Data
Connected devices may transmit weight, estimated LPG quantity, sensor values, temperature, leak/burnt-smell states, valve state, timestamps, connectivity status and related telemetry. This information is used to provide monitoring, alerts, history, forecasts, diagnostics and device-management functions. High-resolution telemetry may be retained for an operational period and older information may be aggregated into lower-resolution summaries where appropriate.
6. Security and Confidentiality
We use administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect account, device and service information, including authentication controls, hashed credentials or tokens where implemented, access restrictions, audit logging, secure transport and application security controls. No internet-connected system can be guaranteed completely secure. Users must protect their own credentials and promptly report suspected compromise.
7. Intellectual Property and Privacy Data Are Different
This Privacy Policy governs personal-data handling. It does not grant any licence to Jitronex software, firmware, source code, interfaces, documentation, branding, confidential technical information or other intellectual property. Access to personal data or to information displayed by the Service must not be used to circumvent the intellectual-property and acceptable-use restrictions in the Terms & Conditions.
8. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including operation of active accounts and devices, transaction and order records, safety history, security/audit requirements, dispute handling and legal or regulatory obligations. Different categories may have different retention periods. Data may be deleted, anonymized or aggregated when it is no longer reasonably required, subject to legal and operational requirements.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable Nigerian data-protection law and lawful exceptions, individuals may have rights concerning access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, objection to, or portability of their personal data, and rights concerning consent where consent is the applicable basis. Requests may require identity verification. Some information may need to be retained where required for legal, security, transaction, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes.
10. Cookies and Sessions
The web application uses security/session cookies and related technologies necessary to authenticate users, protect sessions and provide application functionality. Security cookies should not be shared with other people.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended to be independently operated or purchased by children where applicable law requires adult authorization. If we become aware that personal data has been collected contrary to applicable requirements, appropriate steps may be taken.
12. Data Incidents
We maintain procedures intended to identify and respond to security incidents and will make notifications to affected persons or competent authorities where required by applicable law.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Service, providers, security practices or legal requirements. The current version will display its effective or last-updated date. Material changes may be communicated or presented for renewed acknowledgement where required.
